Our focus on customer service and our determination to be different is certainly starting to pay off - we have just received Money magazine's Bank of the Year award!
But that's not all...we were also recognised at Money magazine's Consumer Finance Awards 2008 with two other major wins. Not only did we receive the Best Bank Website award, our Colonial Geared Investments team won the Margin Lender of the Year award.
The Group was a finalist in four other categories: Money Minder of the Year, Credit Card Issuer of the Year, Business Bank of the Year and Seniors' Bank of the Year. This meant we were the most recognised financial institution in this year's awards.
The Commonwealth Bank is also an extremely diverse organisation:
- Over 70 different languages are spoken by our people
- We have nearly 7,500 people in part time and job share roles across the Commonwealth Bank
- More than 17% of our workforce is over 45
- Women make up 65% of our workforce, and nearly one third of our management and senior management roles are held by women.
